Any complaints such as academic complaints can be discussed with the teacher or administrator. If it cannot be resolved at the school level, the state education board can be contacted. Any academic complaint can be resolved on the same day of complaint, and if not on the same day, it can be resolved on the same week. No adverse reaction will be taken against the person who has filed the complaint. This would be retaliation.
If an academic complaint cannot be resolved, the student can contact the New Mexico Higher Education department and talk to a representative of the subdivision of Post Secondary Education. The contact information for the department is:
Any other complaints that are between students need to be resolved with the school first. Discipline may be taken if actions are considered violent or sexual in nature. Such actions would be removal from the school facility and reporting it to the police.
